This Crockpot Marry Me Ravioli is the kind of cozy, hearty dinner that feels almost too easy for how delicious it actually turns out in the end. With Italian sausage, onion, garlic, chicken broth, heavy cream, sundried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning, everything cooks together low and slow until it’s rich, flavorful, and ready to eat. It’s a simple add-it-and-forget-it meal that makes dinner feel comforting without asking much from you.

I’ve always loved eating Ravioli, but if I’m honest I either find it really boring, or really like advanced and fancy. I watch a fair amount of cooking shows so I always see cooks making ravioli from scratch and pairing it with some fancy sauce and plating it with like 3 delicate raviolis. Like lets get serious that is not a serving and if someone served me only 3 little raviolis, no matter how delicate they may be, in a restaurant (no matter how fancy) I would be pissed.
On the other hand, eating ravioli at home is often a simple affair with either butter sauce, an alfredo sauce, or a easy tomato sauce.
It is for this very reason that I set out to make a ravioli recipe that was fun, flavorful, but still pretty easy to make.
I hope you enjoy it.
Make this Crockpot Marry Me Ravioli when…
- you want to try something new and exciting

Ingredient notes…
Here is what you’ll need to make this Crockpot Marry Me Ravioli recipe. Please be sure to check the recipe card below for the exact ingredients and measurements.
- Ravioli: You can use either a bag of frozen ravioli or a container of the fresh stuff, both work and it doesn’t matter what kind.
- Italian sausage: This sausage really adds to the flavor and they all compliment each other really well, but if you must make a substitution you could always use any other type of protein you prefer.
- Onions: Adds to the flavor. Omit if you wish.
- Garlic: Adds to the flavor. Omit if you wish.
- Chicken broth: Helps to make the sauce. You can always use another type of broth like veggie or beef broth instead.
- Heavy cream: Helps to thicken the sauce. You could use half and half, or milk instead, but be aware it might change the consistency of the sauce.
- Corn starch: To help thicken the sauce.
- Sun dried tomatoes: To add flavor to the dish.
- Spinach: To add flavor to the dish. Can omit if needed.
- Red pepper flakes: To add flavor to the dish. Can omit if you wish.
- Garlic powder: To add flavor to the dish. Can omit if you wish.
- Italian seasoning: To add flavor to the dish. Can omit if you wish.
- Parmesan cheese: To add flavor to the dish. Can use a different type of cheese or omit if you wish.

My tips and tricks to make this Crockpot Marry Me Ravioli recipe…
Vegetarian: Use tofu sausage or omit the sausage and use veggie broth instead.
More veggies: This is a good recipe to sneak even more vegetables in if you wish. You could always add red and yellow peppers, broccoli, peas, or whatever else you desire.
Spicy: To make it spicier add more red pepper flakes, or you could also add hot sauce. Just be careful, because I handle spicy food pretty well and I find this recipe has a slight kick to it already.
Storage notes:
Refrigerate: This dish tastes even better the next day. The sauce will continue to thicken as it sits, so you can always add some chicken broth while reheating if you feel it has gotten too thick or there is not enough sauce. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and enjoy within 3 to 4 days.
Freeze: I find that pasta and dairy usually doesn’t freeze and reheat very well. There has never been enough leftovers of this recipe for me to freeze so I have never personally tried it. If you do, let me know in the comments below how it went.
Are you struggling right now?
- Use prechopped or frozen onions and jarred minced garlic
- Throw the sausage into the slow cooker without browning it first. It will still cook, I just find browning it first adds a depth of flavor. But if you are currently struggling you won’t miss it and it will still taste great.

My burnout situation…
My family has really been a great support system for me while I am on my healing journey. I am very lucky.
While just getting over the end of a cold that had basically knocked me on my ass, one of my favorite cousins that hasn’t been to my city in over a decade finally came to visit my sister and I.
We have been to her city to visit her several times over the last few years so it was nice that she made the effort to come stay with me this time, even though there isn’t a lot of things to do in my city.
It was still fun to catch up and to give her a tour around and show her how much this city has changed since she has last been her.
It was also interesting seeing her reaction when I told her everything I’ve been through over the last few years.
I think to say she was horrified was an understatement.
I never quite know how to handle it when people hear my story and tell me how strong I am, or that they wouldn’t be able to handle everything I’ve been through.
Conclusion…
This recipe is for sure a crowd pleaser and will most likely end up on your recipe rotation for a long time to come.
If you try it, please let me know what you think.
Take care of yourself.
