These Pepperoni Crescent Rolls are a quick and easy way to satisfy a pizza craving without a lot of steps. Crescent rolls are filled with pepperoni, shredded cheese, and pizza sauce, covered with garlic butter, and then baked until warm and golden. They’re cheesy, comforting, and perfect for an easy appetizer, snack, or simple dinner when you need something delicious in a hurry.

One thing about my family is that we love to snack. We often have food you can help yourself to out on the countertop, and when my mother was living with us, it felt like every single day she had muffins and cookies and treats out somewhere.
We love sweet snacks, but we also love a savory snack, or appetizer, but I find that I often felt they were too much work to prepare. If I was already making a meal, people could just eat the main dish and I didn’t want to add even more steps and make things even more complicated on myself. I now know that was coming from a place of stress and a lack of free time, so it just wasn’t worth the effort to me.
So one of the things I’ve been doing on my stress leave is to make an effort to make more appetizers and snacks and just experiment more in the kitchen. It helps that my stepsons are now teenagers, and what teenager doesn’t crave a good snack.
These Pepperoni Crescent Rolls are the perfect thing. Cheesy, buttery, and delicious.
Make this Pepperoni Crescent Rolls recipe when…
- you need a good appetizer, snack, or side dish (or easy meal, we don’t judge around here)
- you want something quick and easy
- you want something even picky eaters will love
Ingredient notes…
Here is what you’ll need to make this Pepperoni Crescent Rolls recipe. Please be sure to check the recipe card for the exact ingredients and measurements.
- Pillsbury Crescents: I used one tube of the Original Crescents. There is enough for eight, so if that isn’t enough for your plan you will need to double or triple the recipe.
- Pepperoni: The main ingredient in our recipe. Feel free to use something else like turkey pepperoni, or a veggie pepperoni alternative (I hear that exists but I’ve personally never tried it)
- Pizza sauce: I used my favorite pizza sauce but you can also just use a marinara sauce or a tomato sauce as well. You just need a good tomato base.
- Cheese: I used shredded Mozzarella cheese but you can use whatever kind you prefer.
- Butter: To top the Pepperoni Crescent Rolls when they cook and help brown the tops. You could always skip if you really need to, or use egg wash instead.
- Garlic powder: To add into the butter to make garlic butter.
- (Optional) Parsley: I added it to the garlic butter. It just gives them a pop of color.

Equipment I swear by…
- a good sheet pan
- parchment paper
While the Pepperoni Crescent Rolls bake…
This is a quick recipe so you don’t have a lot of hands off time, but you could still make time to:
- tidy the kitchen so you don’t have as much cleaning to do later on
- make yourself a yummy drink
- prep a later meal or a snack
How to make these Pepperoni Crescent Rolls…
See the recipe card below for ingredient quantities and full instructions.
- Preheat the oven to 375F. Open the tube of Pillsbury Crescents (brace yourself, the popping always does a number on my nervous system and makes me jump every time) and separate them.
- Spoon about 1 tbsp of pizza sauce on the wide end of the crescent. Add some pepperoni. Add cheese. Roll from the thick end towards the thin end, tucking in any filling that may come loose.
- Place on a parchment paper covered sheet pan.
- Melt the butter and mix together the butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush the tops of the crescents with the butter mixture. Bake in the oven at 375F for 12-17 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown. Be careful not to burn the bottoms (I noticed mine were getting a little dark after 15 minutes, but it depends on your oven).
- Let cool, and then dip in your favorite sauce such as more pizza sauce.

My tips and tricks to make this Pepperoni Crescent Rolls recipe…
Add veggies: Feel free to add any veggies if you wish, peppers or mushrooms would be a good addition.
Make it spicier: Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes, or dip it in hot sauce instead of pizza sauce.
Make it extra cheesy: If you want it extra cheesy, you could double or even triple the cheese in this recipe, and add cheese on top and melt it. You just have to be careful that they cook evenly and nothing burns.
Storage notes:
Refrigerate: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. Warm up in the microwave, air fryer (my personal recommendation), or the oven. Enjoy within 3 to 4 days.
Freeze: This recipe does freeze well, I have frozen a few leftovers before, and I reheated them slowly in the oven and they still tasted great.
Are you struggling right now…
This recipe is very simple and straight forward, my only tip to make this slightly easier on you would be:
- Use pre-shredded cheese instead of shredding your own.

My burnout situation…
I think I am slowly starting to feel like myself again, but not quite there yet. I still get days where I am super tired and can’t really do a lot.
But it is getting to the point where I am having more good days than bad days.
So that is a good sign.
It doesn’t feel very stable though. Like I feel like it’s a house of cards and one bad thing could topple the entire thing down.
But we will see.
I have hope!
Conclusion…
These Pepperoni Crescent Rolls are the perfect easy appetizer, snack, or side dish. I hope you try them and let me know what you think.
Take care of yourself.
